Angélica rejects corporate PAC money and AIPAC. Luz Rivas, on the other hand, has accepted contributions from AIPAC, along with other corporate PACs. Luz Rivas recently broke with members of her party and voted with every Republican to continue sending billions of dollars a year to Israel.
Angelica is better because she has pledged never to accept AIPAC or corporate PAC money, even after being elected. Her campaign is people-powered, and after she's elected, her priority will be the people she serves.

Angélica Duenas believes Congress should focus on lowering the cost of living by tackling the issues families face every day, like rent, groceries, healthcare, childcare, and gas. Meanwhile, Luz Rivas has made AI one of her signature priorities, introducing legislation to create a national AI literacy strategy and a new federal commission focused on AI education.
Angelica is better because her priorities are focused on families and the everyday cost of living, while Luz Rivas has pushed AI policies that put our jobs at risk, damage our children's critical thinking skills, and lead to even more data centers being built in our community.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Angélica Duenas believes members of Congress should hold regular, in person town halls where constituents can ask unscripted questions and have direct conversations with their representative. Luz Rivas has only hosted Zoom calls with pre-scripted questions where she reads the answers and isn't even on camera.
Angelica is better because she understands that part of the job, and part of democracy, is listening and answering tough questions. She's not afraid to face her own constituents, and in fact, looks forward to meeting them.
ABOUT ANGÉLICA
Angélica Duenas is a lifelong San Fernando Valley resident, the daughter of immigrant factory workers, and the mother of five children she is raising in the community she has always called home. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership, while her experience as working families struggle shaped her commitment to public service. She is running for Congress to bring the voices and concerns of everyday Valley families back to Washington.
